Place of birth: Plovdiv. Ivan Evstratiev Geshov (1849-1924) was an economist and publicist, eminent banker, a member of the BG Academy of Sciences. He graduated Financial and Political Scineces in Manchester (1869) and then assisted his father in his trade office in Manchester.
